· Live Instructor Online Training. (9 AM – 7 PM EST) Students can interact with their FL DI Licensed instructor, asking questions, chatting via a secure platform, and engaging with other students as needed.  

The required 40 hours of training is conducted via NFSA-WCFL’s secured platform and led by experienced instructors.

· NFSA-WCFL is an approved DS School (DS#1900026, #1600026) offering the required training in accordance with F.S. 493 and FAC 5N-1.140 to apply for your Florida D License as a Security Officer.

Course Requirements

• Complete 40 hours of course instruction
• Successfully pass the end-of-course examination with a 75% or higher score
• Computer and Internet access with video and audio capabilities
• U.S state or federal-issued photo identification. This will need to be emailed PRIOR to the start of class and presented DAILY during attendance.
• Mandatory attendance for 40 hours and exam completion.

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion of this training, the student can apply for the Florida Class D Security license.  NFSA-WCFL will issue the certificate of completion (form # FDACS 16103) to the student and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Additional Course Details

Courses will be offered in several options: A week session to include 40+ hours over 4 days. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday are conducted once a month.

Students will participate via a secure platform, guided by a Florida DI-licensed instructor.  Topics cover a wide variety of industry subjects and follow the training guidelines outlined in Florida Administrative Code 5N-1.140.

The Class D Security Officer Unarmed License State of Florida Department of Agriculture Division of Licensing course consists of 40 hours of course work and 2 hours for your 170-question exam. 

This course is proctored, and the student must be present in class on the platform utilized with a live feed showing yourself during the entire class.

The State of Florida requires that you answer random questions during the course to verify that you are present during the class sessions. If you do not answer the randomized questions the system will mark you absent from class, and you would have to re-take the class at another class session. The school may extend to you a courtesy reduced enrollment fee; however, the school is not obligated to extend any discounts if it deems that the student had not completed the course with a valid reason. Such a reason is solely unto the instructor’s discretion.  A valid excuse is an example such as a death in the immediate family has occurred and upon providing a valid death certificate, consideration will be taken. In other words, there are very limited excuses that will be considered for absenteeism. If this is the case, you must complete the course by the next class session.

This course includes an exam review and exam. Upon successful completion of the course students may apply to the Division of Licensing for their D License.

This class is an online 4-day class. See Home page for schedule. Students must be in front of the device during the class with   

audio/visual connection. 

This class is offered as if you were in the live classroom.

Note: Students must be highly dedicated and responsible for the instruction of this class. 

This course requires the successful passing of a 170-question exam with 75%. 

A study guide will be emailed prior to the course, it is recommended that the entire study guide be printed and completed during the course. It will come in helpful studying for the final exam.
